Overview

The Innovation Center for Textile Science and Technology (ICTST), a research institute under Donghua University, was founded in March 2017.Facing the new trend in textile industry brought by the global technological and industrial revolution as well as the economic and social development, the ICTST has been established based on the feature and advantage on textile discipline of Donghua University.

With the textile discipline as the core, a cross-disciplinary platform will be built targeting the critical demands of the state, the need of establishing the globally significant innovation center of science and technology for Shanghai, and the need of transformation and upgrading of textile industry. With a focus on three major research directions including advanced fibrous material technology, advanced textile processing technology, and advanced textile material technology, the ICTST carries out research on frontier science, key industrial technology, and scientific and technological achievement industrialization of textiles.

Toward being the world-first-class basic and applied textile research center, the ICTST devotes to talent gathering, interdisciplinary integration, and efficient operation mechanism. The ICTST takes the responsibility of leading the development of textile science and technology, upgrading the future textile industry, and promoting the construction of a powerful textile country, and makes distinct contribution to the advance of textile science and technology, as well as the construction of a globally significant innovation center of science and technology in Shanghai.

Degree Programs
