Entrance Scholarships — prospective students

I. International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

Scholarships Coverage: Full coverage on tuition fee, accommodation fee, living allowance (CNY 2500/month, four-week study students are excluded) and comprehensive medical insurance expenses.

Supporting Category: One-Academic-Year Study, One-Semester Study, or Four-week Study

How to Apply: Apply online (http://cis.chinese.cn) before the designated deadline. Log on to search for recommending institutions and host institutions, and then upload application materials online. Track the application progress, comments and result online, and the scholarship holders need to confirm with the host institutions to go through the procedures of studying in China.

II. Chinese Government Scholarships (CSC - CGS)

Scholarships Coverage:

        Full Scholarship: full tuition waiver, free university dormitory, stipend (CNY 2,500 per month) and comprehensive medical insurance covered during the corresponding study period

        Partial Scholarship: one or some items of CGS full scholarship

Supporting Category: One-Academic-Year Study or One-Semester Study

Consult & Apply: Dispatching authorities for overseas study of your home country (e.g. Chinese Embassy)

How to Apply:

         Step 1 - Apply to the dispatching authorities for overseas study of your home country for CGS opportunity;

         Step 2 - Apply to your target university (Donghua University) for the Pre-admission Letter (send an email to ices@dhu.edu.cn) once recommended by the dispatching authorities as an eligible candidate (you will receive an Award Letter for CGS Candidate);

         Step 3 - Complete the online application procedure at CGS Information Management System for International Students (Visit http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or http://www.campuschina.org and click “Application Online” to log in), select “Program Category Type A”, submit online the completed Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship, and print a hard copy. You should consult the dispatching authorities for overseas study of your home country for Instructions of CGS Information Management System for International Students and Agency Number;

         Step 4 - Submit all of your application documents to the dispatching authorities of your home country before the deadline.

NOTE : Only applications of recommended candidates from dispatching authorities will be considered. Candidates holding a Pre-admission Letter will be placed in the host university; those without the Pre-admission Letter should accept CSC’s placement of university.
